      Cost calculation of the hexagonal water system ACTIMO Gold
Calculate how much water ACTIMO Gold can produce within 300 hour life time of the mineral material.

  • The hexagonal water system has to work for 9 minutes for 2 liters of water.
  • The part that has to be replaced is the mineral material, whose life time is 300 hours or 18,000 minutes.
  • Therefore, the amount of hexagonal water obtained within the life time of 300 hours is equal to (300 hours x 60 minutes = 18,000 minutes) x 2 liters/9 minutes = 4,000 liters.
 
Calculate the electricity cost (according to the household rate used in Thailand) for 300 hours of the hexagonal water system.
 
  • Electrical power of the hexagonal water system is 18 Watts.
  • Electricity cost is 3.50 baht per unit.
  • Electrical unit = (electrical power x number of hours)/1,000
  • Electrical unit for 300 hours is equal to (18 Watts x 300 hours)/1,000 or 5.40 units.
  • Therefore, electricity cost for 300 hours is equal to 5.40 units x 3.50 baht = 18.90 baht
 
Calculate the expense of using the hexagonal water system for the amount of 1 liter in the next year.
 
  • The cost of the mineral material (after the 300 hour of use) is 5,880 baht.
  • Electricity cost for 300 hours (or approximately 1 year) is 18.90 baht.
  • The expense for the next year is 5,858.90 baht.
  • The amount of hexagonal water produced in 1 year is 4,000 liters.
  • The cost of hexagonal water per liter equals 5,898.90 baht/4,000 liters = 1.47 baht per liter.
 
Calculate the cost of 1 liter of hexagonal water with respect to the 10-year life time of the product.

  • The cost of the hexagonal water system plus the mineral material is 31,200 baht.
  • The cost of 9 pieces of mineral materials (5,8800 each) for 9 years is 52,920 baht.
  • Electricity cost for 3,000 hours (10 years) is 189 baht.
  • The amount of hexagonal water produced in 10 years is 40,000 liters.
  • The cost of hexagonal water per liter is (31,200 baht + 52,920 baht + 189 baht)/40,000 liters = 2.11 baht/liter.
  • The calculation above does not include the cost of tap water and the type of filtration chosen by the consumer.
  • The cost of tap water according to the household rate is 0.0085-0.009 baht per liter.
